Come Visit Jason Walton's Website

If you like to rock climb, ice climb, or climb mountains, feel free to browse the site. If you want to steal my photos, I just ask that you give credit where credit is due and maybe even throw in a link to my site.

If you are a relative of mine, sitting in the gloomy Midwest, swatting mesquitos and cursing the humidity, then grab a cold drink, put on your sunglasses, and crank up the brightness on your monitor. You can live vicariously through me in beautiful Colorado.

3.8.04 - O.K., O.K...So It's been awhile...

It's been a very busy year for us. We built a new house, sold our old house, had a complete vehicle(s) turnover! And not to mention the biggest news of all, I've been transfered to Kearney, Nebraska to help out on a "project in need" for my company. Yes that's right, Nebraska! Just two weeks after moving into the house that took 6 months to build, we got the call. I declined; ended the conversation as politely as possible. One week later, they called back. This time, I felt like a officer in the reserves, being called into duty. They did however, vow to give me an out in the event that my sanity could not endure the flatlands of the midwest.

So...aside from our pilgrimage to corn-country, let's see; what have we done this year? I went rock climbing as usual, Holly enjoyed a summer filled with camping, hikes, and climbs (don't worry mom, her hilkes are 1/4 of a mile, and climbs; 10 ft.). Thanks to an epic struggle for survival on Long's Peak, general mountaineering was at a relative low. Ice Climbing, on the other hand, was at an all time high. For those climbers visiting the site, don't count me out just because I'm in Nebraska now. Aside from the smell of new paint, new flooring, and the rest of the perks that accompany a new home, I miss the mountains!. I'm back every couple of weeks to get my fix. My tick list for 2004 includes: alpine, alpine, & alpine climbing. I'm looking very forward to roping up in the high country.
